  • Zusatztext
    • This book throw light on the Economic Impact of Targeted parasite control in sheep farms of Southern India. Gastro-intestinal parasitism severely affects the economy of sheep production and Haemonchus contortus is the major blood feeding nematode that causes huge mortality and morbidity in sheep in spite of the regular usage of potent anthelmintic. Several practical field applicable methods have been developed by researchers to reduce the use of anthelmintic and to develop practical methods of integrated parasite management (IPM) with less usage of anthelmintic. Target Selective Treatment (TST) of helminthic infestation is one such technique. There is a tremendous scope/potential for increasing the sheep production through profitable sheep farming practices such as TST.
