- This research brings the findings of a coarse grain analysis for the Atlantic Forest case study carried out under the POLICYMIX project. The main objectives are: i. to know the current status of Brazilian Atlantic Forest preservation and the conservation targets set for this biome; ii. revise the main regulatory and economic instruments in place whose aims are biodiversity conservation and ecosystem services preservation; iii. propose new economics instrument that might reinforce the role for existing instruments in achieving conservation targets; iv. better understand how the environmental policy instruments may interact with each other; v. contribute for the designing of policymixes aimed at biodiversity conservation in the Sate of São Paulo as well as deepening/fostering the comprehension on the potential role of economic instrument already foreseen by environmental but whose utilization is not fully explored.This research bring the findings of a coarse grains analysis for the Atlantic Forest case study carried out under the POLICYMIX project coordinated by David Barton.
