    • The Adequate Information Management in Europa (AIM) Working Papers are a series of publications for studies, reports, and material from the EU funded research project Adequate Information Management in Europa (AIM). The overall objective of the AIM project is to investigate the mass media's impact on the emergence of (a) European public sphere(s) (EPS(s)) in empirical, theoretical, and practical dimensions. AIM has been initiated by the Erich Brost Institute for Journalism in Europe (ebi) at Dortmund University (Germany). The ebi serves as the coordinator of a research consortium comprising a total of eleven European research Institutes. The consortium's members are (in alphabetical order of the countries): the Department of Communication Studies at Ghent University (Belgium), the Department of Journalism and Communication at the University of Tartu (Estonia), the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Tampere (Finland), the Institute of Political Studies of Toulouse QEP) (France), the Erich Brost Institute for Journalism in Europe (eb!) at Dortmund University (Germany), the School of Communications at Dublin City University (Ireland), the Department of Institutions and Society at Perugia University (Italy), the Department of Journalism at Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), the Department of Media and Communication at the University of Oslo (Norway), the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies at the University of Bucharest (Romania), and the Department of Social Sciences at Loughborough University (United Kingdom). The project runs from 2004 until 2007 and is funded by the European Commission within the Sixth Framework Programme (2002 2006).
