  • Zusatztext
    • Dr. Bello has successfully link three key aspects of Economic DevelopmentPoverty, Inequality and Millennium Development Goals. In Nigeria the book stands to be relevant for development planning, policy evaluation, programme analysis, economic forecasting and basis for policy formulation. In the realms of academics, the sophisticated analytical tools of applied econometrics used are superb. He has shown that MDGs will not be achieved by 2015 and 2020 in Nigeria due to daunting challenges. Not only that, Dr. Bello has extended MDG theory analysis to another height and the work will contribute to practice as it originated Nigerian MDG composite indices. For inequality the colossal work of Kuznets hypothesis was also extended to country-wide panel data analysis.
