The present research was carried out to examine the psychological aspects of infertility prevailing in Pakistani society. The research may be considered pioneering in this sensitive issue, and it has also opened new venues for research from other perspective such as adoption of child and divorce in couple due to infertility. The study is also helpful in assessment of depression, anxiety, aggression, self-esteem, marital and sexual satisfaction of couples in clinical settings when they come to counseling and psychotherapy.     • Sarwat Sultan received her Ph.D from Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan Pakistan in 2009. She has contributed 25 research articles in journals, and has presented 20 papers in conferences at National and International level. She has 15 years teaching experience. At present she is heading Department of Applied Psychology in BZU Pakistan.
