He served as a church associate staff member for eleven years before moving to seminary teaching, and his research continues to focus on the needs of associate staff members. He is the author of</span><span>How to Thrive in Associate Staff Ministry</span><span> and</span><span>Supervising and Supporting Ministry Staff</span><span>.</span></p><p><span>Jane Carr</span><span> is a professor the Talbot School of Theology at Biola University.
