  • Kurztext
    • LEADING AUTHORS: Johnson and Mullen have published successfully over the years, and are respected scholars in their respective fields. Mullen is known in education circles for her work within leadership studies, and Johnson?s The Elements of Mentoring has done well for us at 7000 copiesBACKLIST AND CONFERENCE POTENTIAL: This kind of book will do well for us over time as more professors look for more guidance on writing and productivity. This is the kind of book that we can take to all of our conferences and it has a larger market than some of the more specialized guides that have published successfullyNEW AND UNIQUE APPROACH: Mullen has recently completed interviews with prolific scholars regarding their "secrets? and they will be explored in this book. The book will be modeled along the lines of The Elements of Mentoring, New Faculty, and Elements of Style, and will provide professors with key lessons to learn in each chapter. The book stands out from competition in that the major concept here is focus and how to become more prolific. Other books give advice and provide helpful hints about writing in general, but this book will focus in on how to become more productive"
