    • <p>Die Prinzipien des schreibsprachlichen Wandels stehen im Mittelpunkt dieser empirischen Untersuchung, in der nach einem neuartigen variationsanalytischen Verfahren zehn subsequente Schreibsysteme zwischen 1350 und 1650 kontrastiert werden. Dabei zeigt sich, dass der Wandel nicht als lineares Entwicklungsprinzip zu interpretieren ist, sondern als "diachronische Variation" im Sinne einer soziopragmatischen Stilgeschichte. </p>
