The approach is mainly phenomenological and constructionist, and has a particular focus on the potentials of art as a model for explanation and understanding that transcends the artistic realm. The main contribution of the book is the development and application of a method for videoobservation of phenomnological character that was used to catch and document workprocedures in hospitals as Electronic Health Records were introduced.

- Lars Botin is a Danish researcher in Art, Science and Technology. He is currently assistant professor at Aalborg University (DK) and teaches mainly in Philosophy of Science. In 2007 he received a grant for excellency in research by the Danish Government and was a visiting scholar at Stanford University
